Charlie Johnston

Charlie Johnston trained on a joint license with record-breaking father Mark last season, training 176 winners together and earning nearly £3m in prize money before Charlie took over sole charge at the start of 2023. Mark was the most successful trainer in British history, so leaves big shoes to fill, but Charlie has been a huge part of his team for many years and will certainly not have had his eyes closed in that time! Charlie trained his first winner with the new license in early January and is sure to make a great success of training with the support of Mark.

Mark and Charlie trained Cabinet Maker to win three races for KVT last season and Charlie now trains a two year old by Advertise for us.
