The Andrew Balding-trained Flashcard goes for a valuable handicap at Goodwood

The Andrew Balding-trained 3yo Flashcard returns to action on Saturday in a valuable handicap over 7f at Goodwood. Having won two of this three starts as a 2yo (and second in the other) he steps up in trip for his seasonal debut. The exciting gelding will be ridden for the first time by Oisin Murphy and they will face 13 rivals. He is drawn in stall 6 and will face Good to Firm ground for the first time. This race has been a long term aim and we can not wait to see him back in action. Good luck to his owners.

The Mark Johnston-trained Persian Moon put in another decent effort when 4th yesterday at Goodwood in the Listed Cocked Hat Stakes. Trying 1m 3f for the first time he yet again had to do it the hard way, leading all the way until being headed in the final furlong. Jockey Joe Fanning felt he got the trip OK and this will open further options for him down the line. He is a great horse to have for KVT and we need to be a bit creative and try and find him a winning opportunity.
