Streak Lightning runs today at Catterick
The Mark Johnston-trained Streak Lightning has his third run of the year up at Catterick this afternoon. Regular pilot PJ McDonald is again in the saddle in this five runner contest over 7 furlongs. They are drawn in stall 4 and the ground is currently good to firm. This 0-90 handicap is due off at 2.50pm. Streak is seemingly a bit of an all or nothing gelding, having won 3 of his 7 starts today and lets hope today it is in the ‘all’ category. Good luck to his owners.

The William Knight-trained Dual Identity ran a good enough race on his reappearence yesterday on the Epsom Downs. A little keen to post Callum Shepherd dropped him out and he was always too far back to mount a challenge. However he passed a few horses and was strong to the line under a sympathetic ride. He galloped all the way to end of the pull up suggesting a step up to a mile and a quarter may be needed. A drop of rain will also help his cause as he has a bit of a knee action, but he should be much more competitive next time with this confidence booster under his belt and in handicap company.
