Spanish Kiss a good third at Lingfield
The William Knight-trained Spanish Kiss ran an excellent race in defeat last night at Lingfield. From an almost impossible draw he had to slot in at the back of the field under Callum Shepherd. The pace was rather steady which also would not have helped his cause and he still had plenty to do a couple of furlongs out. But this strapping son of Lope de Vega sprouted wings and on this longer strip seemed to thrive finishing off his race in real eye catching style. We will look for a more galloping track on turf for his next run where he should take a lot of beating. He is mentally and physically going in the right direction and looks an exciting prospect for his owners.
