Sir Busker a fine second in the Bunbury Cup and Kashmirella runs tonight.
Sir Busker could not quite make his hat-trick this season when going down just 3/4 of a length in the Bunbury Cup on Saturday. The William Knight-trained gelding as usual was held up at the back of the field by champion jockey Oisin Murphy. About a furlong out Oisin made his move coming wide and unusually the horse hung badly left costing vital ground and momentum. As such he just failed to reel in the winner, but what a fine run. He had to make up a load of ground on a trip perhaps short of his optimum but what a horse as he tries so hard. No doubt the handicapper will have noticed and he will go up again, but he is still improving and all being well heads to Glorious Goodwood at the end of the month.

Tonight we have the three-year-old filly Kashmirella running in a mile handicap at Kempton. The Eve Johnson Houghton-trained daughter of Camacho is stepped back up in trip and has the assistance of the red-hot Hollie Doyle. She will sport first time cheek pieces and is drawn in stall 8 of the 14 runners. She will carry 9 stone 4 and the race is due off at 8.15pm. Good luck to her owners.
