Semper Augustus third at Kempton
The Ed Walker-trained Semper Augustus was third again at Kempton last night, beaten 1 and 1/2 lengths under Tom Marquand.
He broke and settled well and was in a good position the whole way round. He struggled a little as the pace quickened, but when finding top gear he finished well. Perhaps a better and longer gallop will suit as he has been strongest in the finish in his last 2 starts when upped in trip to a mile.
