Semper Augustus second at Kempton

 In News

The Ed Walker-trained Semper Augustus was in the frame again for the third time in a row last night when second at Kempton. The gelded son of Dutch Art was held up in the four runner race and ran on and off the bridle. However he began to pick up around 2 furlongs out and was closing on the winner towards the end, going down 3/4 of a length. The first time visor did not appear to help him and he needs to learn to knuckle down in the closing stages as he appears to have plenty of ability.
