Semper Augustus runs a good second at Yarmouth

The Ed Walker-trained Semper Augustus ran another good race yesterday to finish a close second at Yarmouth. He broke well but soon got some cover in behind the leaders. Tom angled him out with about two furlongs to go and whilst he picked up, he couldn’t quicken well enough and he was never nearer on the line. He has been improving steadily this season and hopefully can pick up another race or two before the end of the year.
