Regal Envoy wins his third race of the season and Carolus Magnus in the frame.
The Clive Cox-trained Regal Envoy to his seasonal and career tally to three wins yesterday at Bath in the 5 1/2 furlong sprint handicap. This improving son of Ardad is proving to be a real star for his owners and he has now been first or second on all his starts this term as a three year old. Liam Keniry gave him a great ride, getting the fractions right and making sure his head was in front in a tight finish. Lets hope he can continue on his upward trajectory.

The Andrew Balding-trained Carolus Magnus put in a better performance when coming a never nearer third at Salisbury yesterday. A tardy start left him playing catch up and the first two were up on the front end most the race and under these lightning quick conditions it was difficult to make up ground. However Carolus, under 5 pound claimer Harry Davies, was doing his best work late on and hit the line strong. A step up in trip may be a possibility.
