Sam Hoskins
Racing Manager
Sam runs the day-to-day operations of KVT and also assists in organising and hosting racedays / events. He is also the co-founder (with Luke Lillingston) of Hot To Trot Racing and is a small breeder in his own right. He is a member of the BHA National Hunt Pattern committee whilst he is a previous member of the TBA Board and the ROA Board. Previous experience includes working for leading Owner/ Breeder the Niarchos Family.
Sam is based near Cirencester in Gloucestershire with his wife Clemmie and likes to have a tennis racket or cricket bat in hand when not on a racecourse!
Sam is also the co-founder (with Luke Lillingston) of the Hot to Trot Racing, an affordable syndicate of mainly leased fillies. In 2017 HTT had a Royal Ascot winner in Heartache, trained by Clive Cox.

Luke Lillingston
Bloodstock Advisor
Luke is a leading international bloodstock agent and with Kentucky-based Englishman, Lincoln Collins, forms the European arm of the highly respected Kern/Lillingston Association bloodstock agency. They have helped many clients achieve considerable success at the highest level on many famous racecourses around the world.
Some of their best purchases include dual Royal Ascot winner Art Connoisseur, French 1,000 Guineas winner Valentine Waltz and Kentucky Group 1 winning two-year-old Square Eddie. Luke is a member of the Federation of Bloodstock agents and also owner/manager of Mount Coote Stud in Co. Limerick.
Luke is responsible for KVT’s yearling purchases. His top KVT purchase to date is the Group 2, dual Group 3 and Stewards’ Cup winner Magical Memory. Luke also purchased triple winning four-year-old Contango and triple winner Bishop’s Leap, who was subsequently sold to Hong Kong for a considerable sum and current KVT flag bearer Sir Busker.

Peter Winkworth
Finance Advisory
Peter is a Chartered Accountant and retired Merchant Banker, having co-founded Close Brothers Holdings in the 1970s. The third racehorse which he purchased with two friends was King’s Curate, a top rated hurdler of 1991 and winner of the Cheltenham Festival Stayers Hurdle (Grade 1)
Since that time Peter has owned, joint-owned or trained more than 200 Winners. Amongst these horses have been the Group 3 winners Fire Ship, Tropical Paradise and Shimmering Surf. He has also bred more than 30 winners including Kitefsurf (Prix Vermaille GR1).
Peter retired from training in 2011 and sold his yard to Sheikh Fahad Al Thani of Qatar, now home to George Baker. Peter, his wife Tessa and Piers run 10 flat broodmares from their Merton Place Stud in Surrey. Peter provides general business advice to KVT.

Piers Winkworth
Racing Manager
Piers grew up with horses and has ridden all his life. After a brief City career he joined his father Peter at Robins Farm Racing Stables, riding out and assisting at the races. He then headed to Kenya to work with the late Tristan Voorspuy on his riding safaris in the Masai Mara.
During the past twenty years Piers has developed Offbeat Safaris, which caters for high-end safaris in unspoilt areas of Kenya, both bespoke riding and conventional tented safaris.
Piers and the KVT office are based in Dunsfold, Surrey. Piers works in tandem with Sam in all managerial, administrative and operational aspects of KVT. He also oversees KVT resting horses at Merton Place Stud.
