2016 chesnut gelding by Fast Company (Ire) ex Portico (GB) (Pivotal (GB))
Purchased for €36,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale 2017
This Fast Company three-year-old gelding is in training with Andrew Balding at the historic Park House Stables in Kingsclere. Andrew is well known to KVT having been involved with us since he first took out his license. He won in impressive style on his debut and followed this up with a smooth success to make it two from two. He has since been 2nd in the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes at The Curragh. He won impressively at Ascot in July of this three-year-old season and looks to have a bold future. On his latest start he finished a very close third in the Group 3 Sovereign Stakes to prove he is up to this level and possibly beyond.
Luke Lillingston commented “I have long respected Emma Balding as a judge of a yearling so it gave us great impetus to buy this colt when she told us how much she shared our enthusiasm for him. I am a big fan of his upwardly mobile sire and last year purchased an interest in him. Pivotal is by far this country’s leading living broodmare sire. The colt presents an exciting package”.
Andrew has enjoyed Group 1 success in England, Dubai, Hong Kong, Canada and Australia and trained over 1240 domestic winners. With a record haul of winners and prizemoney in 2018 the future looks bright at Park House Stables.
