Gamaret wins on KVT debut to round up a record breaking year

Wow – what a finish to 2022!

Our first run from our first National Hunt recruit rounds of a record breaking 2022. The Venetia Williams-trained Gamaret won gamely under a cool Charlie Deutsch ride at Newbury to win on handicap/chase debut.

This soon to be seven-year-old son of Coastal Path went off favourite and never looked like disappointing his backers. Off for nearly a year Venetia and her team has him spot on and he jumped liked a seasoned pro in the rain softened ground. We will enjoy this lovely win before making any plans Gamaret who is now three from four!

Roll on 2023! Well done to his owners.
