Flashcard bolts up on King George day at Ascot

 In News

The Andrew Balding-trained Flashcard recorded his first win as a three-year-old in emphatic style at Ascot today winning by an easy four lengths in a  competitive handicap. The gelded son of Fast Company has been crying out for a good test over a mile on good to soft and today he had his ideal conditions reversing form with his conqueror at the July festival to get his season rolling. A horse that clearly thrives in mid summer onwards he looked fantastic before the race and under Oisin Murphy could have been called the winner a long way from home.

Congratulations to all his owners and we look forward to a rewarding second half of the season when hopefully he can get some black type – we also own his two-year-old sister so that would be the icing on the cake!

What a special day to be involved in our great sport with Enable’s win over Crystal Ocean in the King George on the same card being one of the greatest races of all time.
