Equality fourth at Nottingham and a much improved run from Fast Forward on nursery debut
The Charlie Hills-trained EQUALITY ran a much better race at Nottingham yesterday when finishing fourth in the 5 furlong 0-85 handicap. He again broke a shade tardily under Andrea Atzeni, but he moved smoothly up the field to lay down a challenge 2 furlongs from home. Ultimately he was just beaten 2 lengths and the slow start and the slow ground would not have helped his cause. It was pleasing to see him race much better and he should be an exciting prospect next season.

The Alan King-trained FAST FORWARD was a fast finishing 7th of the 13 runners in the 1 mile Nursery at Kempton. Callum Hutchinson rode a patient race on him and leaving the back straight, he was pushed along and it seemed as if we are in for a similar outcome to his first three races. However, when push came to shove up the straight, he found plenty for pressure and flew home in an eyecatching manner to finish a ‘never nearer’ 7th. Callum was complimentary about him and feels a further step up in trip to 10 furlongs would suit going forwards. He should have gained plenty of confidence for today and is capable of progressing.
