Dual Identity third and Attache runs tonight at Epsom

 In News

It has been a busy last couple of days for KVT. Although no action at Goodwood (bar our annual picnic on Friday) we have had runners at Leicester, Sandown and tonight at Epsom.

The William Knight-trained Dual Identity was a good third at Leicester under Callum Shepherd last night. This consistent son of Belardo has been in the money in over half his starts and hopefully his winning turn will come soon. Dropped back to 1m 2f he was seen to better effect to be beaten just 2 1/2 lengths.

In a Monsoon at Sandown last night poor Fast Forward did not enjoy his first day at school. The ground was deep enough before his race and the heavens opened again as they were in the stalls and he was always behind the bridle and running green. We will put a line through this and hope to see him to better effect on a sounder surface. The meeting was abandoned after his race – showing how difficult it was. It was however wonderful to see his trainer Alan King winning the Group 1 Goodwood Cup with Trueshan earlier in the week.

The Andrew Balding-trained Attache runs tonight at Epsom tonight in the 7f  Novice due off at 7.05pm. There are 10 runners and he is drawn in stall 8 with Joshua Bryan taking the ride. This is his third start but first up in trip which should suit him. He has been 5th both previous runs and hopefully he can be running into a place at least this evening. Good luck to his owners.
