Dance Fever heads to Goodwood on Saturday

 In News

The Clive Cox-trained Dance Fever has been declared for the 7 furlong £50,000 handicap at Goodwood on Saturday, due off at 2.25pm. There are 10 runners and he is drawn 7 with Adam Kirby on board. This looks an ideal race for Dance Fever and Clive thinks the track will suit him well. Whilst Dance Fever will stay further, they should go quick here and that should suit him.

Good luck to his owners

The Alan King-trained Fast Forward was a well beaten 10th of the 11 runners in the 7 1/2 furlong Maiden at Ffos Las today, coming off the bridle early and finishing well beaten. Tom Greatrex felt he ran as if it was his debut (which was fair given the non event it was on his actual debut last month) whilst Alan reiterated this and added that he has been showing a lot more at home than he has shown on the track so far! He needs one more run in Novices before he is eligible for handicaps and hopefully he will show more there.

CAROLUS MAGNUS – he was a respectable 6th of 11 on his comeback run this evening in the Racing League at Lingfield. He sat behind the leader early on, racing a shade keenly. When the pace quickened, he was outpaced before staying on again late on. Andrew felt that Carolus found the 7 1/2 furlongs trip too sharp and that he really needs a stiff mile now. He shaped nicely against much more experienced rivals and should be very competitive next time out. There could be a nice handicap in him this autumn!
