Cross My Mind a narrow third at Kempton
The Ralph Beckett-trained Cross My Mind was a narrow third, beaten just a length at Kempton on Friday night. As per normal tactics the 3yo filly was held up at the rear by Richard Kingscote and she settled much better than normal, clearly improving in her racing style. However with such hold up tactics you of course run the risk of one getting first run on you and the winner held better track position than our filly. However she did come with a good run once on the straight but ultimately just failed under top-weight. She has been an excellent model of consistency this season, winning 3 of her 12 starts and in the money on 5 other occasions.
