All horses in good nick and the the three-year-olds and older horses more or less ready to run.
With no racing currently in the pipeline news here is rather quiet…
However we are pleased to report the all our horses are continuing to please their respective trainers and there is plenty of optimism for their seasons once the resumption of racing gets the go ahead.
It may be a rather different start to the turf season, with talk of several (predominantly all-weather) tracks being hubs for a week at a time to help limit any potential spread of the virus. But any racing is of course welcome and better than none and as soon as it is deemed to be safe we will be entering up horses.
Our three-year-olds, in particular Kashmirella and the unbeaten Dance Fever should be quick out the blocks with Spanish Kiss and Streak Lightning, an unraced son of Night of Thunder, not far behind. In the older division Magical Memory continues to catch Charlie’s eye who is delighted with him and Sir Busker at William’s is ready to roll too. The youngsters are all progressing well and there is certainly a feeling of excitement for all of them – the delay to the start of racing will not impact too much on them.
In other news William Knight, who trains three for us this season, is soon to leave his West Sussex base and head to Rathmoy Stables in Newmarket. Leaving the idyllic Angmering can not have been an easy decision, but the new yard boasts several new ‘toys’ including a swimming pool and equine spa, and has a lovely owners room. Being based at HQ will give many more gallop options and being more centrally based will help keep down the transport costs!
We have recently sold Flashcard’s sister, Castleinthesand. She has had a few niggles and would have taken time to get going, we wish her new connections the best of luck with her.
