A very exciting week with two runners at Royal Ascot

 In News

It will be a Royal Ascot like no other before, but that does not dampen our enthusiasm for racings showpiece as KVT are in the exciting position to have two runners, both with good each-way (or hopefully better) chances.

First up in the opener on Wednesday is the William Knight-trained gelding Sir Busker. This 4yo son of Sir Prancealot lines up in the Silver Royal Hunt Cup under champion jockey Oisin Murphy. There will be a maximum field of 24 runners and he is drawn in stall 18. A straight mile on a stiff course should be prefect for our 4-time winner and although having to shoulder top-weight he is a big horse and is currently trading around 10-1 and is third favourite.

He is followed on Thursday by the Clive Cox-trained unbeaten 3yo colt Dance Fever. Another son of Sir Prancealot he takes his chance in the Britannia Stakes, also over the straight mile. Liam Keniry will be in the saddle as regular jockey Adam Kirby can not do 8 stone 13. They are drawn in stall 8 of the 24 runners and the race is due off at 4.10pm. He is currently a general 12-1 shot.

Although we won’t have our customary picnic on course we will all be there in spirit and rooting on our two boys. The very best of luck to both sets of owners.
