A spate of seconds

 In News

The appetite has been well and truly whetted for the season ahead with three recent runners finishing in the runner up spot.

Alaskan looked to have turned over a new leaf following gelding and wind surgery to run a huge race to be second at Southwell from a terrible draw. Jockey Kieran Shoemark was delighted with the horse and he looked like he will be providing his Partners with plenty of fun this spring with that run under his belt.

Snuggle ran with promise last season and, after an extended winter break, impressed on his reappearance last weekend at Lingfield with a fast-finishing run to be narrowly beaten into second. Later on the same card, Sir Busker lined himself up nicely for his trip to the Middle East in the Tanbridge Stakes (Listed Race), finishing second to a progressive younger horse despite a very slow start.

We appear to have plenty to look forward to this season and all fingers crossed we progress from silver medals to gold ones in the coming weeks!
